Mr. Liu Xueyi and Mr. Gu Haitao, Chairman and President of COMPLANT Group, met with delegation led by Mr. Adolf Mwesigye, Vice Minister of Uganda Transportation Construction on August 15th, 2013.
Chairman Liu extended his warm welcome to the delegation, and briefly introduced State Development and Investment Corporation(SDIC), China National Complete Plant Import and Export Corporation (Group) (COMPLANT) and COMPLANT Uganda Company as well as projects implemented by COMPLANT in Uganda in history to the delegation. Reviewing the time-honored cooperation between COMPLANT and Uganda, Chairman Liu expressed his sincere gratitude to Uganda government and people for their great support and assistance to COMPLANT in the past 40 years.
Chairman Liu mentioned that COMPLANT Group enjoys traditional friendship and long-lasting cooperation with Uganda. COMPLANT Group possesses a large pool of professionals familiar with Uganda local cultural geography, technical standards and construction specifications. He suggested both sides further strengthen mutual cooperation in infrastructure construction and resource exploitation on the present basis. In terms of project financing and development, COMPLANT Group expects to play an active role in cooperation between Uganda Authority and Chinese financial institutions.
Mr. Minister was grateful for Chairman Liu’s hospitality. He presented Uganda transportation construction situations and development potentials in details, and expressed his expectations to expand the cooperation with COMPLANT, sharing opportunities and seeking mutual development, especially in fields of highway and railway constructions.
The President and Chief Engineer of COMPLANT Ltd attended the meeting.
