Mr. Liu Xueyi, Chairman of COMPLANT Group, and Mr. Han Hong, Vice President of COMPLANT Group, paid an official visit to Mrs. Portia ?Simpson ?Miller, Prime Minister of Jamaica, in Diaoyutai State Guesthouse on August 21st, 2013.
Firstly, Chairman Liu extended his warm welcome to Mrs. Miller and her delegation to China, and wished that the delegation’s visit to China will further strengthen the traditional Sino-Jamaica friendship. After that, Mr. Liu briefly introduced State Development and Investment Corporation (SDIC) and China National Complete Plant Import and Export Corporation (Group) (COMPLANT) to her Excellency, and he expressed his sincere gratitude to Mrs. Premier and Jamaican government for their constant support on various projects implemented by COMPLANT In Jamaica. Next, the two parties mutually exchanged ideas on their existing and potential cooperation, particularly on COMPLANT’s business development and project implementation in Jamaica. In terms of the difficulties arising in our sugar projects, Mrs. Premier immediately instructed authorities concerned to solve the issues as soon as possible. Regarding Jamaica Children Hospital Project and Water Supply Project tracked by COMPLANT Ltd, Mrs. Miller stated that she is also very concerned about the above two projects, especially the children hospital one, for they are vital to national welfare and people’s livelihood. Mr. Liu highly appreciated her Excellency’s great concern about people’s livelihood, and believed her Excellency will definitely be respected and beloved by Jamaicans. Premier Miller finally wished COMPLANT Group achieve greater success in Jamaica as well as in the whole Caribbean area.
The official delegation led by Premier Miller came to China at the invitation of Chinese Prime Minister. COMPLANT Group is the first Chinese company the delegation met with since their arrival in China.
Relevant personnel from COMPLANT Ltd and COMPLANT International Sugar Industry Co., Ltd attended the above meeting.
